Junior Designer/Artworker (No longer open for new applications)

We’re working with a small, but perfectly formed retail design agency looking to add a junior designer/artworker to our team in 2025. What’s more we’d really like to have someone on board who we can train and improve their skills.

The role:
Working within the retail sector, we produce print heavy designs, some of which is very time critical so this will be a role where speed and accuracy will be important. Our ideal candidate should not only have a keen eye for detail but have the desire to learn from our experienced team to, over time, be able to produce quality designs and press-ready artwork for displays, shop in shops and exhibitions.

You’ll work with the studio manager within the team and they will help to train and develop your skills, and whilst you’ll be expected to have the design basics under your belt, they’re not expecting you to know everything.

What we’re looking for:

This is an ideal role for someone looking for their first role after completing a graphic design diploma or similar, someone who has excelled on the course but perhaps lacks the real world experience of a busy studio to allow them to further their career. You’ll be highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign) and have some experience of Sketch-up – but this is not essential.

We’re also looking to see a portfolio of work which showcases your experience.

What’s on Offer?

This isn’t a role where you’re constantly going to be challenged to come up with hugely creative concepts, but it is a brilliant opportunity to get your foot on the career ladder, working with some outstanding clients and really learning and honing your trade.
